FONTS AND SPRINGS OF MARCOS AND CORDERO
Every Monday and Friday [Route A, low difficulty, duration 3.5 hours, 6km]
You will be transported to 1400mt with 4x4 vehicles. You'll descend with helmets and lanterns in a magical landscape rich in vegetation and springs, passing within scenic tunnels between ferns and waterfalls!
[Route A + B: medium-high, 5 hours, 11km]
After the last spring, the trail continues down to the Barranco del Agua, through the famous Bosco de Los Tilos up to the visitors' center of the Biosphere Reserve.
BURRACAS AND LOS DRAGOS DREAM WALK
Every Saturday [low difficulty, duration 3 hours 6km]
The walk runs through beautiful estates with exotic fruits and tropical plants to go into the path of Burracas, with its preistoric trees, Los Dragos (dragons), and extensive fields of almond trees.
The caves of Burracas with their prehistoric hieroglyphs will take you back in time, at a time when Aboriginal Guanche dominated the island.
In short, you return to the present along the Barranco Izcagua with the beautiful colonial-style buildings that form small villages. The path ends in an old "gofio" mill (five-grain flour that still Dine).
THE SAN JUAN VOLCANO: AN APPETIZER ON THE LAVA
Every Tuesday [medium difficulty, 4 hours, 9 km]
A descent from the woods of Canarian pines to the black lava dunes of the volcano of San Juan (erupted in 1949). Unique landscapes accompany your descent to the Llano de Tamanca where you'll taste the best wines and food of the area.
ROQUE DE LOS MUCHACHOS: AT THE TOP OF LA PALMA ISLAND
Every Wednesday [medium difficulty, 3.5 hours, 6km]
From Roque de Los Muchachos (2426mt) along the peaks of the Caldera National Park passing through the Los Andenes and crossing the "Pared de Roberto".
Throughout the journey the view will be given to the huge crater, La Caldera de Taburiente.
On the horizon we could see the silhouettes of the islands of Tenerife, La Gomera and El Hierro!
EL CUBO DE LA GALGA: THE ENCHANTED FOREST
Every Monday [Route A, medium difficulty, 3.5 hours, 7km]
Your trip to El Cubo de la Galga, a lush forest of laurels and prehistoric plants.
Reach the point of 'observation Somada High and then descend to the picturesque rural village of San Bartolo.
[Route A + B, high difficulty, 5 hours, 11km]
Your adventure goes on exploring the Barranco de Nogales until the beautiful and wild beach, where you can refresh yourself in the oceanic water.
LA PALMA TREKKING IN THE WILD NORTH
Every Friday [Route A, duration 3.5 hours 7km]
You will follow an ancient path across several ravines (barrancos) of the north to meet small rural enclaves with an antique flavor and a unique horizon.
[Route A + B, high difficulty, 5.5 hours, 12km]
Before reaching the rural village of El Tablado you'll reach a deep and gigantic ravine populated by lush vegetation facing the coast below.
HIKING IN LA CALDERA DE TABURIENTE
Every Thursday and Sunday [Route A, 5 hours, 12km]
La Caldera de Taburiente has a diameter of about 10 km and in some places the tops of the walls are over 2000 m above the base of the crater.
During the Spanish conquest of the Canary Islands, it was the last settlement of the indigenous people of the archipelago, the Guanches.
Along the forest road you travel to Los Brecitos, through pine forests and ancient seals inside the National Park. The path will take you down, since the Rio de Taburiente, where you find yourself surrounded by maestuose peaks, in a natural amphitheater.
[Route A + B, high difficulty, 5.5 hours, 12km]
After a well deserved rest on the banks of the river, on your way to El Reventòn you'll follow through El Idafe, a large rock venerated by the ancient aborigines of island.
Then through Dos Aguas, the confluence of the rivers that flow from the Caldera de Taburiente springs.
LA RUTA DE LOS VULCANOES
Every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday [high difficulty, 7 hours 19km]
This wonderful trip starts from El Pilar Refuge at 1450mt and follows the top of the mountains until you get to almost 200mt altitude.
You'll see one after the other several volcanoes up to the crater Las Deseadas where you will watch the island from the highest point of the walk.
On the way down the volcano Martìn will surprise you with its reddish tones and a forest of pine trees will accompany you to the end point of the walk, the town of Fuencaliente / Los Canarios.

Transvulcania is the sporting event of the year (the reservation booking should be done well in advance). Transvulcania is an ultramarathon of 84 km (but there is also a "human" version of 42 km) on the volcanoes peaks of the island until the Caldera de Taburiente and Playa de Tazacorte.
