Your guide in La Palma and inthe Canary Islands .
I have lived on the island of La Palma for more than 9 years, it was a real love at first sight.
After completing my studies as a Corresponding Business Expert in foreign languages in my hometown of Tarvisio (Province of Udine, Italy) I moved, as almost all teenagers wish, to the city.
In 2004 I moved to Trieste where I completed my university studies in Sociology for the Territory and Development with a thesis on climate change and transition movements .
I care about the environment, I am passionate about plants and animals.
I worked for 6 consecutive years in Genertel S.p.a. as an insurance consultant and more and more, day after day, I feel the call to leave the frenetic pace of the city and to return to a closer contact with nature , the one that characterized my entire childhood and a slower, simpler life .
So together with my partner of the time (and current collaborator of La Palma Natural) and my dog Milo we embarked on a journey to discover the Canary Islands, because let's face it, the climate also played an important role in the choice of the new life.
We visited almost all 8 islands and we were positively surprised, each one is different and fascinating in its own way but something was always missing.
I still remember perfectly the day I arrived in La Palma : the weather was horrible, it was raining, it had snowed in the peaks of the mountains, it was cold but the call was so strong that after visiting it once more during the summer I didn't doubt for a second that this little green island in the middle of the Atlantic would become my home, forever. Not even 8 months later I was submitting my resignation and packing my bags.
La Palma Natural was born immediately, a small brokerage and tourist information company with which we wanted to make known the wonders of the island to the Italian tourist market not at all present in the statistics of travelers who visited the island.
The first steps were complicated, the evolution in fits and starts: in addition to dedicating ourselves to tourism we begin to carry out translations , we offer assistance for 4 years to N.H.K. Japanese public television which has shot several documentaries on the island and I begin to dedicate myself to catering given my great passion for food and wine (as a good italian as I am). I collaborate with the Franchipani restaurant for several years, I am passionate about palmerian and Canary wines in general.
But the love for the island, for its people, its traditions and its history leads me to focus more and more on what I really want to do: tell about the magical place where I live.
So I decide to obtain the license issued by the Canary Islands Government for tourist guides and dedicate myself solely to deepening my knowledge on the subject.
My main goal is to make La Palma and in general the Canary Islands something more than a place where spend the holidays.
The Canary Islands are history, traditions, natural parks, unique ecosystems in the world, they are inhabited by friendly, warm-hearted, open-minded people. They also have an aboriginal history unfortunately forgotten by the locals themselves, which contains fascinating mysteries, legends, beliefs and customs to be discovered.
Today I live in El Paso, together with my dog Milo and my cat Nina and now I am an Italian palmera .
Some of the classic tours, I create custom-made itineraries according to your interests
I work with tourist agencies, television and film crews, organized and private groups.
